• We will use a number of data-sets, borrowing from the Stanford SNAP dataset collection (e.g. Faceboock friendship, Enron email), the Erdos number project, and Aminer computer science citation network.

• Access to the data is via the UCSD UCSD datahub  You should login with your UCSD active directory account and you will see instructions for downloading  data and homeworks.

• The Jupyter hub is set-up work with ipython notebook using the NetworkX library and other libraries described in the homeworks 

• You will often process data and put then in a format that can be visualized with Gephi . You should install Gephi on your own computer.
